We got an upgrade to a loft room, which was really nice. After a couple of weeks on the road, we enjoyed having the kitchenette, to be able to cook our own dinner, (warm up a nice soup bought at the excellent IGA in town). Location suited us and we enjoyed the 15 minute stroll into the main strip of Banff. Roam Transit was super efficient to get around the rest of Banff, with a stop just a minutes walk from the property. Breakfast was enjoyable as well

The hotel is centrally located and off the Main Street, which is an added bonus regarding street noise. Parking was available for fee but secured from public. Our suite with a balcony did not have A/C but had two floor fans for use (which we had used one evening since it got a bit warm in the room). Breakfast was simple and good. I love having fresh made hot oatmeal and boiled eggs to start my day. The breakfast nook was clean with adequate seating; however, getting to it was like walking through a maze within the hotel.

Last time I was in Banff was 24 years ago, and it hasn’t changed a bit, other than small bits of modern technology. It’s clean everywhere, extremely well maintained. It’s the kind of place you want to be frozen in time in almost every way, and that only thing they add is modern connectivity.
The Bad: is they rape your wallet at every turn.

Banff is a beautiful little town right in the mountains.
Banff is a beautiful little town right in the mountains. The views are fantastic and the walk along the Bow River is gorgeous. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, lots of shops and lots if things to do and see.
It’s easy to walk around as it isn’t big but it is flat. There are buses to nearby places you may wish to visit too.
One thing to note is that Banff is in a national park and as such there is a daily fee to be there.

Incredible natural beauty that starts right in the town of Banff and continues all around it. Glad I didn't visit during the busiest season though as it was already starting to be crowded, but much less then in the summer.

We loved the location of the hotel , everything was reachable But room was small , no place to move around, washroom had no counter
Banff is too beautiful to miss ! Easy to move around and lots of places to dine
The short 15 minute walk from downtown Banff and all its amenities was a major plus, and the main reason we chose the hotel. The attached Keg restaurant was a nice surprise! Very friendly and helpful staff, they make an effort to answer your questions, volunteer information and advice, and ensure you're aware of options and services. We didn't get a chance to use the pool/spa facilities because of our short stay and busy schedule but those looked nice as well.
This is a beautiful mountain resort with a 15 minute gondola ride to the top. (They also have a shuttle in the summer). My 17 year old son and I were having a mother/son vacation before school started and this was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of summer. The hiking and views were unbelievable. The staff so friendly and welcoming. The location was great for a trip to Lake Louise or the village of Banff. Just a lovely experience.
Super clean and quiet rooms with beautiful decorations, 5 mins walk to Banff downtown. the hosts were friendly, responsive and thoughtful(they even recorded euro cup final for us considering we might have missed it the day we arrived!), while they were almost invisible to respect our privacy. This place easily beats 3/4 star hotels I stayed in Banff before, will definitely come back again!
I liked in this trip everything- Stunning view from our room, great front desk staff, clean and new suit, complimentary coffee. I asked to leave small surprise for my husband cause it was his birthday. They left cute card, where were lot of hotel staff’s names and beautiful bottle of maple syrup. It was amazing. Thanks to this hotel for our great experience in Banff.
This hotel was clean, open, well staffed well furnished and located near downtown Banff, within easy walking distance of what we needed. Room was comfortable with a little balcony that allowed us to enjoy fresh air. Parking in the underground garage was a big plus. Laundry facilities were clean and the machines worked well. Coins were available at the front desk.
The facilities in the room were the best we experienced throughout many hostel/hotels stays across Vancouver- Banff. Big spacious room, comfortable bed, towels provided, black out curtains. The location was excellent, just a short walk across the bridge into the centre of Banff, the 24 hour desk service was brilliant for our very early check out.
Fabulous! Moose Hotel is located in an excellent location to stroll the shops, restaurants and bars of Banff. The hotel has it all. Excellent timber work and attention to detail within the whole building. Stunning views from the hot-tubs, pool and sauna. Highly recommend.
Outstay at the Banff aspen lodge was fantastic. Great value for money with good facilities and friendly staff. On-site breakfast is good. Really central location. The cafe attached to the hotel draws locals so there is a good atmosphere and mix of locals and visitors.
The hotel is huge! Our room was comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional (the omelet bar is highly recommended). Parking was easy and certainly essential for downtown Banff. We could easily walk to restaurants and shops and a nearby laundromat.
The room was very clean and modern. Very quiet location, off the main road with a beautiful forested area across from the room. The picture is accurate. The hotel provides free bus passes so you can avoid parking challenges in downtown Banff.
An excellent property in Banff! We had a spacious room and enjoyed their coffee program every morning. Staff, facilities and location are all fantastic! We enjoyed the restaurant im the hotel lobby as well, great choice for breakfast.
Breakfast was in the sister hotel across the road and was buffet style. Other facilities; pool, gym were also in the sister hotel although we didn't use these. The location of the hotel is excellent for downtown Banff.
The staff…exceptional. Fun, helpful. We stayed in a VERY expensive hotel in Lake Louise the three nights prior and our experience at the Canalta was 100% better! If we come back to the area we will for sure be back!
The Moose Lodge is a beautiful hotel in the center of Banff. Walking to shops and restaurants was very easy.
The staff was very helpful answering questions. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Banff.
Super cute hotel with a location that provided incredible views and privacy but also convenient access to downtown Banff. They have the most amazing smelling shampoo and conditioner.
Quiet location but a short walk away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Banff. Staff were very helpful and access to the hotel was very easy from the Trans Canada.
Big private rooms, remembers in a motel. Good location. Comfortable for a hostel and much cheaper than a hotel. Banff is expensive. I recommend this one.
